wikipedia:
In the mid to late '90s the "tail" of the mullet was occasionally "permed" with loose or tight curls adding even more internal composition contrast to the hairstyle. This is often called a French mullet or a Mullét (pronounced moo-lay)

Isn't that Geoff Downes?

Saw him play with Asia in the 80's.  One song (can't remember which) had the ENTIRE band playing keyboards on his rig - all at the same time!  Eventually they peeled off one by one and picked up their respective instruments.

Yes - Geoff Downes.

The song they all played keyboards on was called "Midnight Sun".

When I'm looking for inspiration in sound design, I always pull out his first solo album "The Light Program". Track 1 Symphonie Electronique

Just had to drag this one back up...

Guess who I saw this past Friday?  "Asia" and "Yes".

More specifically, GEOFF DOWNES!

No "stage rig of death" though, but he had his fair share.  I noticed he likes Rolands - most all were.
In contrast, Oliver Wakeman (Rick's son) played keys for the Yes set.  Mostly Korgs.

And, yes, he had his wireless "keytar".

Now, back to our regularly scheduled programming...

Sounds good Hetek. Wish this tour was heading Australia's way...  Sad

Geoff is sponsored by Roland.
Dave Weiser from Kurzweil R&D programmed a nice lead on the PC3 named after Geoff. Pretty faithful to the sort of sound he would use also. Brass fanfare.....

Would have been nice to see him leaning back using the Moog Liberation, but I guess the Keytar is a whole lot lighter !!.  Smiley
